Alex Godfrey

Alex Godfrey currently serves as a Business Development Manager and Bid Manager at Astroscale since September 2021. Prior to this, Alex spent seven years at Lockheed Martin, advancing from a Graduate Engineer to Business Operations Manager, where responsibilities included driving strategy and improving operations across the UK Enterprise. Alex's technical expertise was developed through roles such as Senior System Engineer and Systems Engineer, contributing to significant projects like the Mars Sample Return and the Space Rider programme. Educational qualifications include a degree in Space Systems Engineering from the University of Southampton, complemented by foundational A-levels in Maths, Physics, and Politics from Welbeck - Defence Sixth Form College. Additional experience includes an engineering internship at Lockheed Martin and tutoring in STEM subjects.
