Jeffrey Flynn is an experienced transit manager with a robust background in public transportation leadership. Currently serving as the General Manager for ASUCD Unitrans since June 2017, Jeffrey oversees a transit service catering to four million customers annually, focusing on staffing, recruitment, customer experience, and service improvements. Previously, as Chief Transit Officer for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency from March 2012 to June 2017, Jeffrey managed operations across multiple transit modes, overseeing more than 800 vehicles and 2,500 employees. Jeffrey's career also includes roles such as Director of Planning and Communications at Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority and Associate Project Manager at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates, alongside early experience with ASUCD Unitrans. Jeffrey holds a BA and BS in Geology and Business Management from the University of California, Davis.

ASUCD Unitrans
Unitrans provides public transportation service to the city of Davis, California with 49 buses on 14 routes, carrying over 3 million passengers/year. We are the largest student operated transit company in the United States. Unitrans was formed by the Associated Students of UC Davis and began operation on February 28, 1968 with two RTL-type doubledecker buses that had been retired from service in London. Some facts: *Opened to the general public as the transit service for the City of Davis in 1972. *Undergraduate students passed an initiative in 1990 to increase registration fees and provide unlimited access to Unitrans service. *Unitrans has 3.75 million annual boardings; about 21,000 on a typical day with UCD in session. 91% are UCD undergrads, 5% are grad students/staff/faculty, and 4% are general public. *14 lines run in all-day service. *During regular service, buses make about 600 trips per day, covering 4000 miles. *49 buses in Unitrans active fleet – 4 are vintage doubledeckers (with newer engines), 42 are full-size transit buses, and 3 are small shuttle buses. *The fleet features 40 CNG buses, including the only CNG vintage doubledecker bus in the world. 93% of the miles operated by Unitrans are provided by natural gas buses. *All 175 drivers are UCD students working part-time. *There are a total of 250 student employees, who work in all areas of the operation, maintenance, administration, and support functions, along with 15 career staff.
