Blake Hood

Blake Hood has a diverse work experience in the software development field. Blake began their career as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Advanced Biomedical Informatics, where they developed medical research software using C++, Qt, and ImageMagick. During their time there, they presented at two conferences and had a paper published.

After that, Blake worked as a Software Developer at Praeses, where they contributed to several database-backed web applications using technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL Server, Javascript, PostGres, and Ruby on Rails. Their projects included a task management system for manufacturing, a time-tracker for a ship builder, an inventory management system for a regional retailer, and a distribution management system for a goods distributor.

Blake then co-founded Shadowstep Studios, where they served as the Co-Owner and Lead Developer. Blake was responsible for the company's software development efforts.

Following this, they joined Praeses again, this time as a Senior Software Developer. Blake held this position for two years before moving to Asurvio, a Senior Software Engineer role. In both positions, Blake utilized their strong programming skills and expertise in software development.

Most recently, Blake became the owner of Schnauzer Schtudios LLC, where they independently developed a tactical RPG/monster-breeder game. Blake handled all aspects of the project, including coding, character design, and music composition.

Overall, Blake Hood has shown versatility and a strong passion for software development throughout their career.

Blake Hood obtained their Master's Degree in Computer Science from LSU Shreveport, where they attended from 2009 to 2013.
