Nikki Smeaton

Nikki Smeaton is an accomplished regulatory and compliance professional with extensive experience across various financial institutions. Currently serving as General Manager of Regulatory Engagement at ASX since September 2025, Nikki facilitates proactive engagement with regulators and advises on regulatory strategy. Prior to ASX, Nikki held the position of Chief Compliance Officer at Superhero, overseeing the compliance department and regulatory engagements, and served as Executive Manager of Regulatory Supervision at Commonwealth Bank, managing ASIC interactions. Additional experience includes roles at MIntegrity, Macquarie Group, and ASIC, where Nikki developed regulatory policies, compliance frameworks, and engaged in market integrity initiatives. Nikki holds a Master’s Degree in Executive Master in Change from INSEAD, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Adelaide.
