Dan Elwell

Dan Elwell serves as President of Elwell & Associates, LLC since December 2020, bringing extensive experience from previous roles including Deputy Administrator and Acting Administrator at the Federal Aviation Administration from June 2017 to December 2020. Prior to that, Elwell held the position of President and Managing Partner at Elwell & Associates LLC from February 2015 to February 2017, and Senior Vice President for Safety, Security & Operations at Airlines for America from February 2013 to January 2015. With a background in policy development at the Aerospace Industries Association as Vice President from July 2008 to January 2013, and as Assistant Administrator for Aviation Policy, Planning and Environment at the FAA from July 2006 to July 2008, Elwell's career includes significant leadership in aviation. Elwell's early career featured roles as a Commercial Airline Pilot at American Airlines from July 1990 to June 2006 and as a U.S. Air Force Pilot from June 1983 to October 2004. Elwell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations and Affairs from the United States Air Force Academy.
