Michiel Marchau

Michiel Marchau is an experienced neurologist with a notable career spanning several decades. Since September 1997, Michiel has held the positions of Head of the Department of Neurology and Member of the Medical Council at Algemeen Stedelijk Ziekenhuis, focusing on the care of neurological patients in various settings, including emergency and intensive care, with a specialization in multiple sclerosis. Prior to this, Michiel served as a Teaching Professor at Arteveldehogeschool for 25 years, teaching neurology to thousands of students and continuing to educate in-hospital staff post-retirement. Michiel's medical training includes an MD in Neurology from Ghent University, complemented by early experiences as a Resident Neurologist at CHU de Lille and an Internship Trainee in Neurology at UZ Gent.
