Matt Portman

Matt Portman is a prominent figure in the climate venture space, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Symbiotic Projects since April 2023, focusing on supporting nature-based solutions for founders and funders. In addition to this role, Matt holds various positions including Investor at Ponterra, which partners with local farmers on high-quality carbon projects, and Advisor at Terraspect, aiding project developers in managing community benefits. As a member of the Advisory Board for Treesistance, Matt contributes to the protection of the Amazon and tropical forests, integrating Indigenous knowledge with scientific approaches. Furthermore, Matt invests in several initiatives such as TreeCard, World Fund, At One Ventures, Coral Vita, Earthbanc, and Dendra Systems, all aimed at addressing climate challenges through innovative solutions and sustainability practices.
