Tim Umland

Tim Umland possesses extensive experience in project management and technical operations within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Associate Director of CMC Project Management at Atalanta Therapeutics since August 2023, Tim has previously held significant roles, including Sr. Manager of Technical Operations at Oncorus and Sr. Project Manager at Athenex, where Tim led the CMC drug development for the proprietary Klisyri ointment. Tim's early career features co-founding HarkerBIO and serving as a research scientist at Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, as well as roles at the University at Buffalo and the National Institutes of Health. Tim earned a Ph.D. in Macromolecular Crystallography from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo, along with a certificate in entrepreneurial leadership from the SUNY Buffalo School of Management.
