Cyrus Nikou is the founder and managing partner of Atar Capital, a Los Angeles based lower-middle market private investment firm he launched in 2016. He oversees all aspects of the firm’s strategy, including mergers & acquisitions, operations, and corporate development. Cyrus is the chairman of the board for several companies, including Pathways Health & Community Support, WinCup Corporation, Universal Douglas Lighting Americas, Microcel Corporation, Keypoint Intelligence, RWS Facility Services and Frontier Integrity Services. Since inception, Atar has acquired and manages a global portfolio of 11 companies, employing over 12,000 people, generating $1.2B in annual revenue.
Socially responsible investing is one of the cornerstones to Atar’s investment strategy. As a father of two young children, Cyrus believes it is possible to address some the world’s challenges by making smart investments that will positively impact our and their future.
Adding to the theme of social responsibility, Cyrus maintains deep connections, with contributions of both his time and resources to several local Los Angeles based charities including: I Have A Dream Foundation – Los Angeles, Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles Mission, Upward Bound House and serves on the board of The Sierra Canyon School, a college preparatory, day and boarding school based in Los Angeles.
Born in Vancouver, Canada, and raised in Los Angeles California, Cyrus is an authentic serial entrepreneur with a successful track record in the private equity and debt markets. Prior to Atar Capital, Cyrus was the co-founder and managing partner of Revolution Capital Group, an L.A.-based private equity firm. He was also a former managing partner of IMC Brokers, and also founded Funded Capital.
Cyrus holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.
