Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department
Erica Caballero is a Licensed Paramedic at the Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department since July 2022. Previously, Erica served as a Senior Naval Science Instructor and Program Manager for the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at Baltimore County Public Schools from August 2017 to July 2019, demonstrating expertise in culturally responsive instruction. Prior to this, Erica worked as a Quality Control Inspector at American Sugar Refining Inc, ensuring compliance with quality systems. Erica's military background includes roles such as a Naval Officer in the US Navy, where responsibilities included serving as a Surface Warfare Officer and Meteorology/Oceanography Services Officer. Additional experience includes administrative roles at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and Fleet Weather Center Norfolk, as well as management of electrical systems aboard the USS Bunker Hill. Educational qualifications consist of an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services from Lone Star College and a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Point Loma Nazarene University.

The Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) is an all hazards, emergency response organization located in Northeast Harris County in Texas, U.S.A.. The department is a 501c4, Not for Profit organization and is funded through a contractual agreement with Harris County Emergency Services District #46 (ESD46). The department's focus is to provide exemplary customer and emergency services to our community through dedicated, highly trained, professional volunteer and career members.
