Alita Vaz

Alita Vaz is an experienced professional in information design and community engagement, currently serving as a Platform Specialist at ATCO since May 2022, after holding various roles including Information Designer and Information Design Intern. Alita is also the Program Lead for the Map the System initiative at the Institute for Community Prosperity at Mount Royal University, contributing to community-focused projects until June 2024. Previous experience includes research assistance at Mount Royal University, where support was provided to faculty on a partnership project with the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association, and marketing roles at HelpSeeker Technologies. Alita began a career in retail as a Keyholder at Globo Shoes from 2017 to 2022. Alita obtained a Bachelor of Communications in Information Design from Mount Royal University, graduating in 2023, and participated in the Wavemakers program during the summer of 2022.
