Cynthia Dorne

Cynthia Dorne has a diverse work experience in the medical device industry. Cynthia currently works at Alphatec Spine as the Sr. Manager of Regulatory Affairs since March 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Manager of Regulatory Affairs from March 2020 to March 2022. Cynthia also worked as a Project Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Alphatec Spine from February 2018 to March 2020.

Before joining Alphatec Spine, Cynthia worked at NuVasive as a Sr. Specialist of Regulatory Affairs from May 2012 to February 2018, and as a Document Control Analyst from July 2011 to May 2012.

In 2010, Cynthia had a role at CareFusion as the Sr. Coordinator of Quality Document Systems Management, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining quality document control for Class II minimally invasive surgical devices. Cynthia also reviewed and edited standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other documents to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and ISO standards. Cynthia left CareFusion in May 2011.

Earlier in their career, Cynthia worked at Leave A Mark Consulting as a Regulatory Affairs Assistant from June 2009 to January 2010. In this role, they provided regulatory and technical writing assistance to the medical device industry.

Cynthia's first professional experience was as a Medicinal Chemistry Intern at Ambit Biosciences from June 2008 to March 2009. Cynthia'sresponsibilities included preparing and submitting medicinal compounds for testing and utilizing various purification systems and analytical techniques.

Overall, Cynthia Dorne has a strong background in regulatory affairs and document control within the medical device industry, with experience at both large companies like Alphatec Spine and NuVasive, as well as smaller consulting firms and research internships.

Cynthia Dorne attended UC San Diego from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry. In December 2011, they obtained a certification as a Certified Quality Improvement Associate from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) - MENA.
