Maximilian Garcia has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Maximilian started in 2017 as an SAT Mathematics Tutor at Cathedral High School College Preparatory, where they worked with small classes of high school students to improve their math skills and test-taking abilities for the SAT. In 2018, they joined Experiential Education at Johns Hopkins University as a Canoeing Instructor, leading outdoor trips for students. At the same university, they also became a member of Baja SAE, participating in engineering projects from November 2018 to May 2022. In 2020, they worked as a Courier for Postmates Inc., delivering packages. In 2021, Maximilian served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute, and in 2022, they joined Alphatec Spine as a Design Engineer, responsible for developing and enhancing products through CAD software and various design processes.
Maximilian Garcia completed their high school education at Cathedral High School College Preparatory in Los Angeles from 2014 to 2018, earning a High School Diploma. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering from 2018 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, Maximilian also obtained two certifications: Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in May 2020 and Wilderness/Remote Location First Aid from SOLO Wilderness Medical School in January 2019.
