Nick Caponera has a diverse background in engineering and project management. Nick started their career at DART Aerospace as a Project Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and analyzing aftermarket aircraft systems. Nick later became a Lead Engineer, leading a small team in the design and development of aerospace accessories. Nick also served as a Program Manager, managing daily design and certification issues.
After their time at DART Aerospace, Nick joined Datron World Communications as a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, they provided mechanical design, analytics, and after-market support for military RF products. Nick also provided guidance and input to senior staff on mechanical procedures and processes.
Currently, Nick is working at Alphatec Spine as a Project Engineer. In this role, they manage multiple cross-functional teams to design, develop, verify, and validate complex medical instrumentation. Nick is responsible for post-commercial and product sustaining support and ensures compliance with ISO 13485 regulations.
Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated strong technical skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
Nick Caponera earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, with a dual degree, from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York. Nick attended this university from 2004 to 2009. In addition to their degree, Nick Caponera obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2015.
