Paul Kemper has worked as a Research Engineer at Alphatec Spine since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York from September 2016 to March 2023. During their time at Columbia, they performed research as a Ph.D. candidate at the Ultrasound Elasticity Imaging Laboratory. From October 2018 to December 2019, Paul worked as a Consultant at Capgemini Invent. In this role, they specialized in quantitative management consulting with a focus on the financial and public sectors in the Netherlands. Paul was responsible for credit risk model backtesting and monitoring for Rabobank, where they developed an automatic framework for the consumer finance portfolio using Python to streamline future backtesting cycles.
Paul Kemper has a comprehensive education history. Paul pursued their Pre-university education in Engineering & Medicine (N&T+N&G) from SG. Augustinianum in Eindhoven from 2004 to 2010. Following this, from 2010 to 2013, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. Subsequently, they continued their studies at the same university and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, Paul Kemper started their academic journey at Columbia University, where they completed a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree from 2016-2021. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Columbia University, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
