Sarah Pacelli has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Sarah began their career as a Biomedical Research Intern at the Shiley Center for Orthopedic Research and Education at Scripps (SCORE), where they assisted in analyzing and compiling data from experiments. Sarah then worked as a Summer Intern at Qualcomm, where they collaborated with a team of Mechanical Engineers to label circuit board drawings and create 3D prototypes. Sarah later interned at NuVasive, focusing on quality engineering for product and machine validation.
While studying at Purdue University, Sarah served on the Student Orientation Committee, specifically the Recruitment and Selection Committee. In this role, they conducted interviews for leadership positions within the committee. After graduating, they joined Alphatec Spine as a Research and Development Engineer Intern. Here, they worked on the Interbody team, designing surgical instruments and implants, writing change orders, and creating test fixtures.
Sarah then joined Boeing as an Industrial Engineer on the Production Engineering team. Sarah led recovery efforts to create an operational plan for getting the production team back on schedule and drove consistency across the team. Sarah later became the lead of a multifunction engineering team focused on long-term improvement projects for the F/A-18 Super Hornet.
Currently, Sarah is employed as a Quality Engineer at Alphatec Spine, where they apply their engineering expertise in ensuring product quality.
Sarah Pacelli attended Torrey Pines High School from 2011 to 2015, where they completed their high school education. Following that, they enrolled at Purdue University from 2015 to 2019 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
