Sarah Schaake

Sarah Schaake has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical and engineering fields. Sarah is currently working as a Development Manager at Alphatec Spine since May 2021.

Prior to that, Sarah worked at ECA Medical Instruments from 2017 to 2020. During this time, they held the position of Engineering Manager and was responsible for managing a team of engineering direct reports. Sarah provided guidance and review on various product development projects and played a role in improving quality processes. Sarah also served as a Sr. Project and Product Development Engineer, where they designed and developed new medical products and managed overall project activities.

Before joining ECA Medical Instruments, Sarah worked at Cardinal Health as a Principal Product Engineer and Principal Engineer. In these roles, they were involved in corrosion, durability, and fatigue testing of medical stents and stent grafts. Sarah also led the design and development of surgical implants, instruments, and graphic cases for different systems.

Sarah has also worked at Emerge Medical, Inc as a Product Development Engineer, where they designed and launched a wide range of implant and instrumentation kits. Additionally, they worked at Evolve Biosciences as an Engineer, where they focused on the development and optimization of medical devices.

Sarah's early career includes a role as a Research Assistant at Harvard University Division of Viral Pathogenesis, where they conducted individual research projects and optimized analysis panels for flow cytometry instruments.

Overall, Sarah Schaake has a strong background in product development, project management, quality assurance, and team leadership in the medical and engineering industries.

Sarah Schaake attended The Johns Hopkins University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Their field of study was focused on Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
