Steven Walmsley has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Steven started their career at Hughes Aircraft Company in 1984 as a Mechanical Engineer, specializing in manufacturing and testing lasers and night vision systems. Steven then moved to SeQual Technologies in 1995, where they worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, supporting the setup and maintenance of a manufacturing line for oxygen concentrators. Additionally, they developed test equipment and conducted R&D using concentrators to produce large quantities of pure oxygen. In 1998, they joined Veridiam as a Senior Product Engineer, managing the product development cycle and developing manufacturing processes for components of nuclear reactors. In 2014, they worked at Fontana Manufacturing Solutions as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Currently, they are working at Alphatec Spine as a Fixture and Gage Designer, responsible for designing fixtures and gauges for small implantable medical devices, ensuring precise measurements with tight tolerances.

Steven Walmsley obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, where they studied from 1981 to 1984. Then, they attended Syracuse University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, although the exact duration of their studies at this institution is unknown.
