Operating as a platform for formal and aesthetic investigation spanning architecture, furniture and fashion, Atelier Caracas draws strong influences from pop culture and everyday, as-found objects to create alluring spaces and objects at once humorous and thought-provoking. As a young and energetic studio, Atelier Caracas aims at defying the status quo in a otherwise stagnant professional milieu through their approach to design problems, work methodologies and built outcome. In this last respect, the studio combines a strong appreciation of local, traditional craftsmanship and materials with the use and re-use of industrial technologies and materials.
