George Ball

Chief Power Engineer at Athabasca Oil Corporation

George Ball has over a decade of work experience in the oil and gas industry. George started their career as a Plant Operator at Michelin in 2006 and worked there for three years. In 2009, they joined Shell as a Plant Operator and stayed with the company for two years. In 2011, George moved to Statoil where they served as a Shift Engineer for six years. Most recently, they joined Athabasca Oil Corporation in 2017 as a Shift Engineer and was later promoted to Chief Power Engineer.

George Ball completed their education at NSCC-Akerley Campus from 2001 to 2003, where they studied Power Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Cole Harbour District High School from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained their High School degree. Additionally, in October 2015, George obtained certification as a 1st Class Power Engineer from ABSA, the pressure equipment safety authority.
