Ben Wright

Ben Wright has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1997, they worked as a Trainee Accountant and Acting Assistant Accountant for RMC Group plc, where they implemented SAP and trained staff on new accounting procedures. Ben later served as a Business Analyst, Business Manager Finance, and Business Improvement Manager for RMC Group plc, focusing on financial reporting, KPI implementation, and plant rationalization.

In 2005, Ben joined Lorne Stewart PLC as a Regional Accountant, where they implemented a debt management process and improved the finance and admin teams' performance. Ben then moved to Caring Homes in 2006, becoming the Group Financial Controller and overseeing the audit process and payroll outsourcing.

In 2009, Ben became the Head of Finance for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, where they managed finance operations for over 5,600 schools and organizations. Ben later served as the Group Project Manager and Regional Director for Care UK, responsible for strategic planning, financial management, and building key relationships with commissioners.

From 2011 to 2020, Ben held various positions at Care UK, including Finance Director - Secondary Care and Head of Finance & Commercial - CS Division, leading finance teams and managing budgets for multiple healthcare operating units.

In 2020, Ben joined Practice Plus Group as the Finance Director - Secondary Care Division, overseeing the finance operations of hospitals, minor injury units, and ophthalmology services. Finally, in 2023, they started working as the Finance Director for Athena Care Homes (UK) Ltd.

Throughout their career, Ben has consistently demonstrated their expertise in financial management, team leadership, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.

Ben Wright attended the University of Essex from 1994 to 1997, where they pursued a degree in Accounting and Financial Management. Their field of study focused on Accounting and Finance.
