Anupama Ramaswamy

Anupama Ramaswamy has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in various roles and organizations. Anupama currently works at Athena Infonomics as the Associate Director since March 2023, where they previously served as the Principal Consultant for Gender and Social Inclusion from January 2019 to March 2023. Before that, they worked as an Independent Consultant in their self-employment from July 2017 to January 2019. Anupama also worked at Athena Infonomics as a Senior Consultant from May 2014 to June 2017 and as a Consultant for Public Policy from February 2012 to April 2014. Anupama served as the VP of Microfinance and Development at Bloom Microventures for the entire year of 2011. Anupama's work experience includes volunteering roles as well, such as being a Programme Assistant at WaterAid from July 2010 to October 2010 and an Administrative and Advocacy Support Volunteer at Kalayaan from October 2009 to October 2010. Anupama began their professional journey as an intern at Grameen Bank in May 2008, where they gained practical knowledge by interacting with bank officials and borrowers and conducted interviews in a rural Bangladeshi village.

Anupama Ramaswamy's education history is as follows:

In 2002-2004, they attended Bhanvan's Adarsha Vidyalaya, where they pursued Higher Secondary studies in Commerce.

From 2004-2007, they studied at Mahatma Gandhi University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics.

Anupama then enrolled at the University of Hyderabad in 2007 and completed their Master's degree in Economics in 2009.

From 2009-2010, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Development Management.

Most recently, in 2023, Anupama Ramaswamy completed the ILSS Emerging Women's Leadership Program at ILSS - India Leaders for Social Sector.
