Kristi Kaye Burma

Kristi Kaye Burma is the current EVP of Human Resources for Athene Holding Ltd. Kristi has over 17 years of experience in Human Resources and has been with Athene for just over 5 years. Prior to joining Athene, Kristi worked for Aviva USA as their Vice President of Human Resources from September 2008 to October 2013. Before their time at Aviva, Kristi was a Program Manager for Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield from January 2001 to September 2008. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) with 220 concurrent projects.

Kristi is a highly experienced Human Resources professional with a wealth of knowledge in employee relations, talent acquisition, systems and learning/organizational development. Kristi is a strategic thinker and an excellent communicator, which has served their well in their various leadership roles. Under their guidance, the US and Canadian businesses at Aviva were successfully built and de-regionalized service delivery functions were created. At Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Kristi was instrumental in creating a PMO business plan that demonstrated an organization-wide process overview and five-year maturity model. Kristi also simplified the process with Finance and IT to share a database for consistent reporting. In addition, they created a project leader handbook to document the current process and provide examples to ease navigation of the process for project leaders.

Kristi's 17 years of experience in Human Resources, along with their proven track record of success in various leadership roles, makes their perfectly suited for their current position as EVP of Human Resources for Athene Holding Ltd.

Kristi Kaye Burma graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. Kristi majored in Industrial Relations/Human Resources.
