Richard Wiernasz

Richard Wiernasz is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment accounting and derivative operations. Currently serving as the SVP Head of Investment Accounting and Derivative Operations at Athene since May 2020, Richard previously held significant roles at Genworth Financial, including Managing Director of Investments and Portfolio Management, where responsibilities included managing investment portfolios and overseeing strategic transactions. Additionally, Richard was instrumental in developing the controllership functions for a diversified investment and derivatives portfolio, while also holding key positions in derivatives and financial consulting at both Genworth Financial and Travelers Life & Annuity. Richard's career began as a Senior Manager at KPMG. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Connecticut and has furthered business education at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
