John Thorsen

John Thorsen has been working in education for over 25 years. John started their career as a director of boarding admission at Darlington School. John then worked at Mercersburg Academy as the director of advancement programs. In 2002, they became the director of external affairs at Francis Parker School. John held this position until 2010 when they became the assistant head of school at Asheville School. In 2014, they became the Head of School at Athens Academy Inc.

John Thorsen has a master of education from Vanderbilt University, a bachelors from Washington and Lee University, and has attended Asheville School and Columbia University in the city of New York.
