Dr. David Katz is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery who specializes in the treatment of the hand, wrist, and upper extremity. As a native of Richmond, Virginia, he attended the University of Virginia where he was an Echols Scholar.
After graduation, he lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a year as a ski instructor. He went on to attend medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he was awarded both the Southwestern Medical Foundation Scholarship as well as the Melba Williams Scholarship for academic achievement. Dr. Katz then moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he lived for 5 years as he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Emory University. During his last year of residency, he was honored to be chosen by his peers to serve as one of two Chief Residents.
