Catherine Wehlburg

Catherine Wehlburg, Ph.D., currently serves as the President of Athens State University since June 2021, and has held various leadership positions, including Interim President and Provost and VPAA. Catherine is also an active Board Member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and an Official Member of the Forbes Business Council, where insights on higher education are shared. Since August 2009, Catherine has been the Editor in Chief for New Directions for Teaching and Learning and has served as a Higher Education Advocate and Consultant since August 1997. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Fellow at the Association of American Colleges and Universities, Academic Dean at Marymount University, and various leadership positions at Texas Christian University and Stephens College. Catherine holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Florida and a Change Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
