Jessica Spowart

Jessica Spowart is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Art at Athens State University since August 2019, with extensive experience in graphic design and teaching. Spowart has operated as a freelance graphic designer since April 2013, providing design services for various corporate and non-profit clients. Previous roles include Design Manager at Cascadia College, where oversight of web and print media production was paramount, and Graphic Designer and Instructor at the University of Washington, where facilitation of multimedia workshops took place. Spowart has also held teaching positions at Bellevue University and Sanford-Brown College, imparting knowledge on graphic design processes and principles. Early career highlights include a Graphic Design role at the Institute for People and Technology at Georgia Tech and co-founding the Youth Photo Project, alongside a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.
