Lucy Edge

Lucy Edge holds a distinguished career in the space industry, currently serving as Deputy CEO and Chief of Missions at Satellite Applications Catapult since February 2018, with additional roles as Chief Operating Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer. As an Advisor at STFC since May 2024 and Chair at Atheras Analytics since September 2021, Lucy also contributes to Mencap as a Trustee and Vice Chair. Previous non-executive positions include time with Buckinghamshire Local Enterprise Partnership and Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership. Notably, Lucy has extensive experience from Avanti Communications Group plc, where roles spanned General Manager to Satellite Operations Director from 2007 to 2018, and earlier positions at SSTL and the European Space Operations Centre. Lucy holds an MSc in Astronautics & Space Engineering from Cranfield University and an MSci in Astrophysics from the University of Birmingham.
