Adam Schafer

Adam Schafer currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Athinia®, a position held since November 2024. Prior to this role, Adam was the Head of Supply Chain Strategy for the CHIPS Program Office at the U.S. Department of Commerce from June 2023 to November 2024. Adam's extensive experience at Intel Corporation, spanning over two decades, culminated in a Senior Director role overseeing Supply Chain Sustainability, where responsibilities included managing Supply Chain ESG, Chemical Compliance, and various sustainability programs. Additionally, Adam has held leadership positions with the Responsible Business Alliance, contributing as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Washington and a BS in Chemistry and Philosophy from the State University of New York at Oswego.
