Lara R Nyman, PhD, currently serves as the Vice President of Research & Discovery at Athletic Greens, beginning in April 2024. Previously, Lara held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Weo from April 2022 to August 2023, where leadership was provided to a global team focused on innovative healthtech solutions. With extensive experience at PepsiCo spanning over a decade, Lara progressively advanced from Senior Scientist to Senior Principal Scientist, driving innovations in consumer health and wellness, with a particular focus on sleep nutrition and experimental research. Educational background includes a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master's in Exercise Physiology from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Boston University.
