Athletic Ventures
Samuel Reid is a co-founder of The Reid Academy since November 2024 and serves as Operations Manager at Johns Lyng Group while also holding the role of Site Supervisor. Reid participates as a member of Athletic Ventures and has an extensive background as a professional AFL player, having played for the GWS Giants from October 2011 to September 2021. During that time, Reid was redrafted by the Giants in 2015 and transitioned into a playing development coach role, contributing to the UWS reserves team. Prior experience also includes being a guest speaker for Diabetes NSW from January 2011 to August 2016 and playing for the Western Bulldogs from October 2007 to October 2011 after being drafted at pick 35. Reid's education includes several coaching and fitness certifications from the AFL, reinforcing a strong foundation for leadership and mentorship in sports.
