Christophe Bonta

Christophe Bonta has a diverse work experience in various roles related to investment, risk management, and asset and liability management (ALM). Christophe is currently working at Athora as an Investment Director / CIO since December 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Nagelmackers as the Head of Financial & Credit Risk from May 2019 to December 2019. From 2010 to 2019, they held various positions at AG Insurance including Head of ALM and Deputy Head of ALM. Before that, they worked at Fortis Insurance Belgium as an ALM Officer from September 2007 to December 2010. Christophe also has experience in risk management consultancy, having worked at Finance Paris as a Consultant in Risk Management from June 2006 to September 2007, and at Ortec as a Consultant in Risk Management from June 2005 to June 2006, where they focused on financial modeling for ALM solutions.

Christophe Bonta's education history includes attending various institutions and pursuing degrees in finance and economics. From 1989 to 1995, they attended College Saint Pierre uccle, where they obtained a degree. Christophe then moved on to Université libre de Bruxelles, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from 1995 to 1999. Following this, from 1999 to 2000, they attended Université catholique de Louvain and achieved a Master's degree in Financial Economics. In 2003, they studied Finance at New York University for a year. Additionally, they have shown an interest in further education, with experience at IESE Business School, where they focused on "Getting things done," and at London Business School, where they concentrated on Investment management.
