Preethi Thiagarajan

Preethi Thiagarajan has worked for a number of companies over the past 17 years. In 2004, they began their career as an Optometrist at Sankara Nethralaya. Preethi then went on to work as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2005. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the State University of New York College of Optometry. In 2012, they moved to the Retina Foundation of the South West and worked as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow until 2017. That year, they began working as a Doctor of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry. In 2019, they took on two roles, working as a Clinical Research Associate at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and as an Optometrist at Vision Source of Worcester. Finally, in 2021, they began working as a Medical Optometrist at Batra Vision Medical Group, and in 2022, they were promoted to Manager Clinical Affairs at Atia Vision.

Preethi Thiagarajan began their education in 2000, graduating with a BS in Optometry from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in 2004. Preethi then moved on to the University of Waterloo, where they earned their MS in Vision Science in 2008. Following that, Preethi attended the State University of New York College of Optometry and earned their PhD in Vision Science in 2012. Most recently, Preethi earned their OD from the New England College of Optometry in 2019.
