Gabriel Sandoval

Gabriel Sandoval currently serves as a Partner at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, a position held since 2013. Previously, Sandoval worked as Senior Advisor and Director of Policy for The White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics from 2011 to 2013 and held the role of Senior Counsel in the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education from 2010 to 2013. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Legal Counsel to Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and as a Special Assistant City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles between 2003 and 2010. Sandoval also worked as Special Counsel to the Secretary of Legal Affairs for the Office of the Governor of California in 2003 and was an Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP from 2000 to 2002. Early in the career, Sandoval was a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Carlos R. Moreno from 1998 to 1999. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School as a Human Rights Fellow and a BA with Departmental Honors from Stanford University.
