Scott J. Sachs

Scott J. Sachs is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in complex litigation, focusing on construction law, environmental law, and data privacy and security issues. Currently serving as a Beach Commissioner for the Los Angeles County Beach Commission since 2013, Scott also holds the position of Senior Associate at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo since June 2007. Previous roles include Co-Chair of the Government Affairs and Advocacy Committee for the USGBC Los Angeles and various chair positions within the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Natural Resources. Earlier career experience includes an associate role at Ford, Walker, Haggerty & Behar, LLP, where Scott represented both private and governmental entities, and an internship at the Surfrider Foundation focused on environmental issues. Scott holds a Juris Doctor with a specialized emphasis in environmental law from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with an environmental emphasis from San Diego State University.
