Mehar Iftikhar Ahmad

Mehar Iftikhar Ahmad has a rich and diverse work experience in the field of network architecture and consulting. Starting in 2007, Mehar worked as a Network Engineer at Maxima Managed Services for five years before moving on to become a Network Engineer at Redstone (formerly Maxima). In 2013, Mehar became a Senior Network Engineer at Redcentric, where they worked on network design, implementation, and support. This role also involved managing core infrastructures and working on LAN, WAN, WLAN, Load Balancing, and Firewall projects.

In 2014, Mehar joined Arqiva as a Senior IP Network Design Engineer, responsible for designing and maintaining MPLS, Broadband, Multicast, and management IP networks. They also collaborated with stakeholders to build solutions that fulfilled business requirements. Later in 2014, Mehar worked at Updata Infrastructure as a Network TDA, engaging in presales, design, and implementation of complex WAN and LAN projects.

In 2016, Mehar took on the role of Senior Network and Security Consultant at Ultima Business Solutions, where they focused on presales, design, and implementation of WAN, LAN, and Firewall projects. They were involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from presales to handover to operations teams.

From 2016 to 2018, Mehar worked at Inmarsat as a Network Architect, overseeing the design, architecture, and implementation of multiple segregated IP/MPLS networks into a unified network. This involved designing and migrating IP transit services and implementing end-to-end QoS.

Following this, Mehar joined Airbus Defence and Space – Intelligence as a Senior Network Consultant, contributing expertise in network consulting and architecture until 2022.

Most recently, Mehar worked at Fujitsu as a Network Architect, responsible for network architecture and design.

Currently, Mehar holds the position of Lead Solution Architect Networks at AtkinsRéalis, beginning in 2023.

Throughout Mehar's career, they have demonstrated a strong focus on network architecture, design, implementation, and consulting, working on complex and diverse projects in various organizations.

Mehar Iftikhar Ahmad holds a Master's degree in Computing and Communications from the University of Greenwich, which was obtained from 2004 to 2005. Mehar also has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences (Hons) from Hamdard University, earned between 1999 and 2003. Additionally, Mehar holds various certifications including CCIE RS SP# 48683 from Cisco, and certifications such as CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP R&S, CCIP, CCNP Security from the same institution. Mehar also has certification in FCNSA from Fortinet.
