President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Atlanta BeltLine

Clyde Higgs has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Clyde served as the President & CEO, Chief Executive Officer (interim), and Chief Operating Officer at the Atlanta BeltLine, overseeing a large-scale urban redevelopment program. Prior to that, they held positions at the North Carolina Research Campus, where they were the Executive Vice President, Business Development & Operations, and the UNT Health Science Center--Fort Worth Technology Incubator, where they served as the Executive Director. Clyde also served as a Board Member at the Emerging Technology Fund in Texas and was the Director of Technology Transfer & Commercialization at NC A&T State University. Overall, Clyde has extensive experience in business development, operations, and technology transfer.

Clyde Higgs has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Biomed from the University of South Alabama. Clyde also holds a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from East Carolina University.

Atlanta BeltLine

The Atlanta BeltLine is the most comprehensive economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment and mobility projects currently underway in the United States. The Atlanta BeltLine is a sustainable redevelopment project that will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods directly to each other. Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) is the entity tasked with planning and executing the implementation of the Atlanta BeltLine in partnership with other public and private organizations, including City of Atlanta departments.
