Vice President Of Economic Development at Atlanta BeltLine

Kelvin Collins has a diverse background with extensive experience in economic development, equity and inclusion efforts, entrepreneurship, and workforce development. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Economic Development at Atlanta BeltLine Inc. Prior to that, they were the Chief MWBE Officer at the NYC Department of Education, where they designed and implemented strategies to address historic disparities for minority-owned businesses. Kelvin also served as the President & CEO of Harlem Commonwealth Council, Inc., where they focused on promoting social justice and economic opportunity. Kelvin has held various leadership roles at the NYC Department of Small Business Services and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, where they implemented strategic improvements and provided support to entrepreneurs. Kelvin began their career as a Front Desk Supervisor at The Flamboyant Hotel.

Kelvin Collins earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marketing from Midwestern State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. In September 2011, they obtained a certification as a Certified Coach, Teacher & Speaker - Founding Partner from The John C. Maxwell Team Certification.

Atlanta BeltLine

The Atlanta BeltLine is the most comprehensive economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment and mobility projects currently underway in the United States. The Atlanta BeltLine is a sustainable redevelopment project that will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods directly to each other. Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) is the entity tasked with planning and executing the implementation of the Atlanta BeltLine in partnership with other public and private organizations, including City of Atlanta departments.
