Atlanta BeltLine
Laura Linman, MPA, EDFP, is currently serving as the Economic Development Project Manager at the Atlanta BeltLine since October 2022, focusing on fostering equity and inclusivity in Atlanta through transformative public infrastructure. Previously, Laura held positions as Economic Development Director and Business Outreach Coordinator with the City of Chamblee from May 2017 to October 2022. Laura's earlier experience includes roles such as Project Finance Analyst at Iowa Area Development Group, Grant Specialist at Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments, and various positions in academia including Graduate Assistant at East Carolina University and research roles at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Laura possesses a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Public Administration from East Carolina University.
Atlanta BeltLine
The Atlanta BeltLine is the most comprehensive economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment and mobility projects currently underway in the United States. The Atlanta BeltLine is a sustainable redevelopment project that will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods directly to each other. Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) is the entity tasked with planning and executing the implementation of the Atlanta BeltLine in partnership with other public and private organizations, including City of Atlanta departments.
