Meghann Gibbons has a diverse work experience spanning across various organizations and roles. Meghann is currently working as the Vice President of Communications & Media Relations at Atlanta BeltLine since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President, Marketing & Communications at Points of Light from 2017 to 2022, where they were responsible for managing a team, budget, and developing marketing strategies. Before that, they worked at Gibbons Communications from 2015 to 2017 as the Principal, overseeing public relations strategy and marketing for various industries. Meghann also has extensive experience in the communication and public relations field, including roles as the Senior Director of Communications & Public Relations at Georgia Aquarium from 2005 to 2015 and as a Marketing Coordinator at Visit Tampa Bay from 2001 to 2005.
Meghann Gibbons obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and International Business Operations from Florida State University, where they attended from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they studied at Boston College from 1996 to 1997, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. In addition to their formal education, Meghann has obtained several certifications through LinkedIn, including "Setting Business Unit Goals," "Communication Foundations," "Successful Goal Setting," "Interpersonal Communication," "Customer Service Leadership," "How to Use LinkedIn Learning," "Managing New Managers," and "What To Do When You Are Bullied at Work." These certifications were achieved throughout 2019, with varying months of completion.
Atlanta BeltLine
The Atlanta BeltLine is the most comprehensive economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment and mobility projects currently underway in the United States. The Atlanta BeltLine is a sustainable redevelopment project that will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods directly to each other. Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) is the entity tasked with planning and executing the implementation of the Atlanta BeltLine in partnership with other public and private organizations, including City of Atlanta departments.
