Matt Stewart

Matt Stewart is an experienced play-by-play commentator with a career spanning over three decades in sports broadcasting. Since November 2009, Matt has served as a play-by-play commentator for ESPN+, working with various ESPN networks and regional broadcasts. In addition to roles at Georgia Public Broadcasting since August 2014 and as a commentator for the NBA G-League's College Park Skyhawks since November 2019, Matt has held significant positions at WXIA 11Alive as a sports anchor and reporter since April 2014. Previous experience includes a role as an award-winning sports anchor at iHeartRadio, freelance commentary for American Sports Network, and a lengthy tenure at Comcast Sports Southeast where Matt called over 1,000 games. Matt started in sports media as the sports director for WRFC-AM and has a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Georgia State University.
