Mary Brennan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mary is currently working at the Atlanta History Center as a Guest Engagement Ambassador and Guest Experience Ambassador. Prior to this, they were the Gift Services Coordinator at the same organization.
Mary also has experience as the Proprietor of Elegant Scribbles, a handwriting and addressing service.
Their previous roles include working as Guest Relations at the High Museum of Art, Mission Communication Officer at The Episcopal Church Center, and Marketing Director in the Graphics Lab at Perkins+Will.
Mary has also worked as a teacher at Chattahoochee High School, where they taught Talented & Gifted, AP Government and Politics, AP US History, and World History. Mary was also involved in extracurricular activities such as being a teacher sponsor for the girls' lacrosse team, Model United Nations, and Quiz Bowl.
Mary began their career at Turner Broadcasting as a Senior Producer/Writer.
Mary Brennan attended The University of Alabama from 1971 to 1973, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies, with a focus on Fine Arts. In 1998, they attended Oglethorpe University, but it is unclear whether they obtained a degree. During that time, they studied Teacher Certification, specifically Grades 7-12. In 1977, Mary briefly attended Exeter College, Oxford, focusing on Social & Economic History. Prior to their time at The University of Alabama, they studied Education/History at Tennessee Wesleyan College from 1969 to 1971.
