Kristi York Wooten

Kristina York Wooten currently serves as the Director of Digital News at Georgia Public Broadcasting since June 2022. Wooten has a broad freelance journalism portfolio, contributing essays and reports on music to major publications such as The New York Times, The Economist, The Atlantic, Rolling Stone Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and Atlanta Magazine. Additionally, Wooten writes lifestyle and design articles for HGTV and The Travel Channel under Scripps Networks Interactive, and blogs for The Huffington Post on diverse topics including global health, women's issues, and international development. Wooten studied at Furman University, earning a BA in Art and German Literature.
