Jane Arney

Jane Arney, PhD has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Jane started their career as an Office Manager at SLR Research Corporation in 1998. Later, they worked as a Development Assistant/Receptionist at Canine Companions for Independence for nearly 7 years. In 2006, they joined the Helen Woodward Animal Center as a Manager of Annual Giving. Jane then served as a Technical Editor at Expeditionary Technical Solutions from 2006 to 2009. In 2015, they became the Grants and Annual Giving Manager at Woodruff Arts Center. Jane further worked as the Manager of Foundation and Corporate Grants at CHRIS 180 from 2016 to 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations at Atlanta Mission, where they are responsible for fundraising and managing institutional relationships.

Jane Arney, PhD, has a strong education background in the field of Art History. Jane began their academic journey at MiraCosta College, where they obtained an Associate's degree from 2002 to 2007. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) at the University of California, Riverside, graduating Magna cum Laude and earning Phi Beta Kappa honors from 2007 to 2009.

Jane then expanded their knowledge and skills by completing a Master of Arts (MA) in Art History at The University of Texas at Austin from 2009 to 2011. Their dedication to the subject led their to pursue a PhD in Art History at Emory University, where they completed their doctoral studies from 2011 to 2020.

In addition to their academic achievements, Jane has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional profile. Jane completed the Salesforce Tips certification through LinkedIn in March 2022. In August 2018, they obtained the Grant Writing and Management certification from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits. Earlier in August 2017, Jane earned the Raiser's Edge Fundamentals Certification from Blackbaud and the Nonprofit Organization Management certification from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits in April 2017.
