Michael Ziegler has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Michael started as a Sports Editor at Worrell Community Newspapers, where they handled all aspects of publishing the sports sections for weekly community newspapers. Michael then worked as the Director of Media Relations for the American Southwest Conference, where they directed all media relations operations and developed the conference's first website. Michael also served as the Assistant Director of Media Relations at the Lone Star Conference.

Moving forward, Michael Ziegler worked as an Assistant Sports Information Director at Southern Methodist University, where they directed the media relations and communications for various athletic programs. Michael then joined the Texas Brahmas Hockey Club as the Vice President of Corporate Sales, handling corporate sponsorship sales and learning about the installation of under-ice logos and dasherboard signage.

In 2003, Michael Ziegler joined Texas Motor Speedway as a Senior Manager of Business Development, where they were promoted to this role from a Senior Account Executive position. Michael then worked at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway as the Vice President of Corporate Sales before joining Speedway Motorsports, LLC as the Vice President of Business Development. Michael Ziegler also held the position of Vice President of Corporate Sales at both the Kentucky Speedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Throughout their career, Michael Ziegler has gained extensive experience in corporate sales, business development, media relations, and sports information.

Michael Ziegler attended the American School in London from 1985 to 1990, where they obtained their High School Diploma. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at Lehigh University from 1990 to 1994. In terms of additional certifications, Michael completed "Introduction to Incident Command System" and "Introduction to the National Incident Management System" at FEMA in September 2019.
