Dr. Nardiann Mighty has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Dr. Nardiann began their career as a Mathematics Teacher at Leon County Schools in 2001. Dr. Nardiann then worked at DeKalb County School District, where they took on various roles such as Mathematics Teacher, Instructional Change Coach, and Cheerleading Coach. In 2012, Dr. Mighty joined the Georgia Department of Education as a Professional Development Specialist. Currently, they are employed at Atlanta Public Schools, where they have held positions as an Employee Performance Analyst, SST Intervention Specialist, and Assistant Principal. Since 2023, Dr. Mighty has been serving as the Human Resources Staffing Director at Atlanta Public Schools.
Dr. Nardiann Mighty holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Walden University, which was obtained from 2007 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Education (MEd) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Troy University from 2006 to 2007. Dr. Mighty earned their Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Florida State University, which they completed from 1997 to 2001. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Teacher Keys Effectiveness System Credentialing in 2012, a Georgia Mathematics Teacher Certificate Level 7 for Grades 6-12 in 2002, and a Florida Professional Mathematics Teacher Certificate for Grades 6-12 in 2001.
