Kyra M. Caldwell Templeton

Kyra M. Caldwell Templeton, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning several positions and organizations. Kyra M. currently serves as the Program Director of Student Engagement and Co-Advisor of the APS Student Advisory Council at Atlanta Public Schools since 2023. In addition, they work as a Leadership Development Coach and Educational Strategist at The Nexus Experience, where they foster personal and professional growth and creates inclusive spaces.

Their previous roles include serving as the Co-Founder of Radiant Educational Services, LLC since 2017, a Lead Facilitator at Teaching Lab since 2020, and an ELA Instructional Coach at Marietta City Schools from 2018 to 2023. Kyra M. also worked as a Research Assistant at Mercer University from 2018 to 2019, and as a Part-Time English Teacher at Cobb County School District from 2017 to 2018.

In 2009, they obtained their Master of Arts (M.A.) in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Georgia State University. Kyra M. completed their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Curriculum and Instruction, at Mercer University from 2013 to 2017.
