Alicia Nieves is an accomplished legal and public policy professional with a diverse background in advocacy for immigrant rights and community support. Currently serving as a Member of the Counter Terrorism Project at the Atlantic Council since June 2024, Alicia previously held roles such as Legal & Government Affairs Consultant at the Arab-American Civil Rights League and Chief of Staff to State Representative Trey Martinez Fischer. As a co-founder and Executive Director of Streetwide, Alicia developed impactful technology initiatives, including the award-winning Rapid Response Project and Detention Lifeline. With a foundation in housing policy from JustFix.nyc and a Law Clerk position at the NYC Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs, Alicia has demonstrated a commitment to serving underrepresented communities, supported by a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Migration Studies and Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington.
