Alyssa Yamamoto

Alyssa Yamamoto is a Senior Legal & Policy Advisor for the Strategic Litigation Project at the Atlantic Council, where responsibilities include strategizing advocacy campaigns and engaging with UN Member States on human rights issues. Prior to this role, Alyssa served as a Legal Advisor and Robina Fellow for the UN Special Rapporteur on Counter-Terrorism & Human Rights, focusing on the implications of counterterrorism measures. Experience also includes working as an Associate Attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton, where engagement in significant international law cases was paramount, and contributions to Human Rights Watch and the United Nations highlight a strong commitment to human rights and humanitarian law. Alyssa holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a BA from Harvard University.
